BIOGRAPHY:
David LeRoy Randolph spent most of his childhood on the farm in Warren Co., OH. In the early 1840's, David Stout Randolph, his father, moved with his family to Elizabeth Twp., Miami Co., OH. It was there that David LeRoy Randolph met his future wife, Sarah Jane Bousman. Sarah was born on 26 Nov 1828 in Miami Co., OH, the daughter of William Bousman and Margaret Shell, from VA.

David and Sarah were married on 7 Oct. 1847. They lived in Miami Co., OH for the first five years of their marriage, and had their first three children there. In Nov. of 1852, David LeRoy Randolph, his father, David Stout, and their families moved to McDonough Co., IL.

David lived a couple of years in Macomb, IL and then bought a farm of 160 acres, 4 miles North and 3 miles East of Macomb, located in Twp 6N, R2W, NW 1/4, of Sec 15. He lived there until after Sarah died in 1876.

It is believed that after he married his 2nd wife, Mrs. Rebecca Brawdy, that they lived on the farm in Emmet Twp. which she inherited from her husband, John Brawdy. David may have inherited this land when she died. At any rate, David's son, John, was later the owner of a farm in Emmet Twp. which was orginally a part of John Brawdy's land.

After Rebecca Randolph died, 14 Oct 1888, David moved back to Macomb, IL and lived first at 1010 E. Calhoun St. He then lived at 726 E. Adams, and later at 214 W. Jefferson. His youngest daughter, Ida Belle lived with him in Macomb until she married in 1895. Afterwards she and her husband, Albert Whipple lived with him until they moved to Peoria, around 1905.

After her husband died in 1890, Ann Rebecca, another daughter, also lived with him until she moved to Keokuk, IA, sometime after 1894, but earlier that 1900.

In March of 1911, David went to live with Ida Belle and Albert Whipple in Peoria, and he died there on 28 Aug 1911. He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb with his first wife, Sarah.

Sarah Jane (Bousman) Randolph, died on 2 Sept. 1876, and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery.

She [probably Rebecca] died on 14 Oct 1888, and is buried beside David LeRoy and Sarah, his first wife, in the Randolph plot at Oakwood Cemetery.
