OBITUARY: Frank Stepnowski
Frank Stepnowski, 71, of Centerville, [IA] died Monday, June 23, 1997, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital [Centerville, IA].He was born Feb. 4, 1926, the son of Peter and Anna Stepnowski. He married Alice Wright, Feb. 14, 1957. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Michael, of Centerville; two daughters, Catherine Howard of Des Moines and Susan Flower of Antelope, Calif.; a sister, Louise Rick of Centerville; his father-in-law, Boyd Wright of Centerville; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark; and six sisters.
He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II in the South Pacific. He was a construction worker, a carpenter and member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Joe Miller, C.PP.S., officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery in Mystic. There will be an open visitation all day Thursday at the Lange Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
