Paul E. Conger, 61, of Vancouver, WA, died Sunday, December 19, 1999 in his home.He was born in Pekin, [IA] to Wanda and Woodrow Conger on Aug. 20, 1938. He married Delia Helland Sept 5, 1969 in Vancouver, WA.
Paul worked for Portco, a paper and poly film company for a large percentage of his adult life.
Paul is survived by his wife, Dee Conger of Vancouver; three sons, Paul Conger, Jr. of Boise, Idaho, Jeffrey Conger of Woodland, Washington and David Conger of Oceanside, California; two daughters, Gina Helland of Vancouver, Washington and Kellie Vetter of Ollie, Iowa; five grandchildren, Jessica, Cody, Dalton, Dane and Kyle. He is also survived by his mother, Wanda Conger of Pekin, Iowa, eight brothers: Dean Conger of Ollie, Edward Conger of Ollie; Delbert Conger of Ollie; Jim Conger of Ollie; Robert Conger of Linby; Ralph Conger of Ollie; Larry Conger of Linby; and Dale Conger of Martinsburg; five sisters: Arlene Shy of Missouri; Juanita Jones of Martinsburg; Judy Ellis, of Ollie; Joyce Kopsieker of Ollie; and Carolyn Skinner of Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, one brother, two sisters and his son.
Services were held at People Church, Vancouver, Washington.

Raymond Conger, 53, of Packwood, IA died on October 21, 1998. A funeral will be held at ... Prairie View United Methodist Church ... Burial will follow in the Van Orsdall Cemetery near Ollie.The son of Woodrow and Wanda May Van Orsdall Conger, he was born in Keokuk County on April 29, 1945. He was reared in Keokuk County, attending school at Ollie and Pekin. He worked for Fairfield Aluminum Castings Co. before entering the U.S. Army as a communications technician during the Vietnam War.
He returned to Iowa in 1967. On June 29, 1968, he married Marilyn Shull at Signourney. He worked at Falco and Hormel Meat Packing in Ottumwa before accepting a position at Excel Meat Packing in Ottumwa, where he was employed until his death. He also farmed in the Keokuk County area in recent years.
Mr. Conger was a member of Walter B. Schafer Post No. 775 of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was preceded in death by his father and two infant sisters.
Survivors included his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Michelle Glandon of Sigourney and Kristina Conger of Packwood; his mother, Wanda Conger of Packwood; nine brothers, Paul of Vancouver, WA, Dale of Martinsburg, IA, Robert and Larry, both of Packwood and Dean, Edward, Delbert, Jim and Ralph, all of Ollie; five sisters, Arlene Shy of Dixon, MO, Juanita Jones of Martinsburg, Carolyn Skinner of Packwood and Joyce Kopsieker and Judy Ellis, both of Ollie and two granddaughters.
