Gene M. Conger of Seattle, WA died May 19, [1998] in Shoreline, WA. He was 89.Born September 9, 1908, in Blackfoot, Idaho, Mr. Conger graduated from Rigby High School and the University of Idaho.
He taught business and economics at Ricks College in Idaho, then returned to the University of Idaho to receive a master's degree.
For several years, Mr. Conger worked for the Federal Housing Administration. He later became a member of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and a partner in the appraisal firm of Fenton, Conger and Ballaine. He then founded the firm of Conger, Schuler and McKowne.
Mr. Conger served as the president of the Seattle chapter of the American Institue of Real Estate Appraisers. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in which he served as bishop, high counselor and a member of the presidency of the temple located in Bellevue, [WA].
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and gardening.
Mr. Conger was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Katheryn H. Conger. Survivors include daughters, Lois Jarman of Provo, Utah, and Elizabeth Mueller of Issaquah; sons, Gordon G. Conger of Bellevue and Douglas W. Conger of Monroe; 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
Interment at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue.
