Walter Vernon Sisler married Leona Morford in Fairbury where they lived for 20 married years, moving to Omaha during the War. Four children were born of this union: Jr. Dale, Welma, Patty, and Wally.Their oldest son, Jr. Dale, was killed in France during World War II age 20.
Welma is married to L. H. Mugrage. They have one child, Alyssa in junior high, and they live in Los Angeles, California.
Patty Ann Sisler married Everett Fifield. They lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa about 10 years before moving to Florida. They have three children: Teresa, Linda and Everett II.
Teresa married Dean Thompson and they live in Dodge Center, Minnesota, where he is a repairman for construction machinery.
Linda Marie lives in Hepzibah, Georgia.
Everett Jr. II is still in college but works for his dad during vacations. They own an Amoco service station ten miles south of St. Augustine, Florida, at a crossroads called Crescent Beach.
Wallace Layne Sisler, better known as "Wally", married Beverly Barritt who had two children by a former marriage. Beth Barritt Weichmann whose husband's name is Stan; and Mark Barritt is single. Mark is attending graduate school at Kansas University and Beth and Stan live in Sedgwick, Kansas. Both work with green plants, Beth at the Sedgwick County Zoo near Wichita and Stan at Big River Nursery Co. Wally is a paramedic with the Wichita Fire Dept. and Beverly works in purchasing dept. at Cessna Aircraft in west Wichita near where she and Wally live.
Walter Sisler passed away in February 1975 and is buried in Fairbury cemetery near his son, Jr. Dale.
Leona still resides in Kipp, Kansas, when at home, and spends her winters in California with her daughter and with her two brothers.
