Our beloved Everett Conger Ross died Thursday morning, July 31, 2008, of heart failure. [Probably at Riverside, CA. REH]He is survived by his wife, Imogene of Coronado, daughters Patricia Ross Schwellenbach of Santa Monica and Barbara Cynthia Ross of Albany, California, son Ernest Howard Ross of San Juan Capistrano, and three grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and acquaintances.
Everett was born in Orange, California, to Dorothy Conger and Ernest Ross.
He served in the Navy during WWII, earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and held the position of Director of Public Utilities for the City of Riverside for much of his career.
Services will be held in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2008. Flowers cannot be accepted at the service. Donations in Everett's honor to the San Diego Maritime Museum will be gratefully acknowledged.
