Agnes Diadana HulburdBIOGRAPHY: An article about Roger W. Hulburd appeared in "The Vermonter," Vol. 21, No. 6, in which is found the following:
"Mr. Hulburd's oldest daughter is at this minute more than 12,000 miles away, being the wife of Presbyterian clergyman, George P. Conger, whom she met at Heidelberg while she and her younger sister were traveling in Europe. Mr. Conger was associated with John R. Mott, the International YMCA Secretary and after their marriage here was sent to a point 400 miles north of Vladivostock, on the Pacific north of China, to make life tolerable as he can for 100,000 German prisoners taken by the Russians. These include lots of German students and professors to whom Mr. Conger, speaking their own langauge, is most acceptable. Mrs. Conger was taken ill at Petrograd, last January, after a voyage across replete with many experiences, and remained there for a time, afterwards making the journey across Siberia, to her husband, 5,800 miles alone. The younger sister is at present Mr. Hulburd's secretary."
