David R. RandolphDEATH: near Lebanon, Union Twp., Warren Co., OH
MARRIAGE:
The marriage date for David and Rebecca Randolph is given in the David Randolph Bible, which was copied by the D.A.R., and certified by them on 7 Apr. 1945. The Bible was then in the possession of Rosa (Randolph) Evans. It was originally owned by Rebecca (Randolph) Perrine, daughter of David and Rebecca. The entries are believed to have been made by Rebecca Perrine, with some perhaps made later by others.Mrs. Rebecca Randolph's maiden name is shown in the Bible as "Suffield". Siblings other than Rebecca Perrine have shown it as "Sutphin". No Suffield family, living in the right place, and at the right time to have produced Rebecca has ever been found. There were ample Sutphin families living nearby in both Hunterdon Co. NJ., and Fayette Co. KY. to have done so.
David and Rebecca, were probably married in Fayette Co. KY. Records for the county were destroyed in a fire. The Sutphin families in Fayette KY. had come from Hunterdon Co., NJ. David may have known Rebecca's family there before the move to KY.
